Bring Your Favorite Dish! Bring a ready-to-eat covered dish (main course, side or dessert) that does not require preparation or reheating. Please bring enough food to feed your family plus two more people. Drop off your food in the kitchen on your way to worship or no later than 11 a.m. so that the food tables can be set up.

Bethany will provide hamburgers,
hot dogs and drinks.

All desserts will be considered in our dessert contest! Prizes will be awarded for the most decorative, the most patriotic and the best tasting.

Dress casually! We’ll have the first of three Camp Meetings at the 10:30 a.m. service. Wear patriotic colors or your Bethany shirt! Current and former members of the armed forces are invited to wear their uniforms.

Camp Meetings July 2, 9 & 16
Pat Garrison Will Travel from Moss Point, MS, to Thank Mission Team

Sunday, July 2, will be the first of three Camp Meetings at Bethany. Camp Meetings are a tradition in the United Methodist Church dating back to 1800’s, when people would gather for several days of preaching, worshipping and hymn singing. The congregation is asked to dress casually for worship on July 2, 9 and 16, as we recall our Camp Meeting tradition.

At the 8:45 and 11:15 a.m. services on July 9, we will be joined in worship by Pat Garrison. Pat's Moss Point, Mississippi, home was rebuilt in January by a Bethany mission team. She will describe her experiences after Hurricane Katrina and the work God was able to accomplish by using a team of willing Bethany members.

One of the way Christians grow is through service. Our Lord said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” but you don’t have to go on a mission trip to serve. You can do so right here at Bethany United Methodist Church. There is a place at Bethany for every one of our members to serve. Here are some areas with an urgent need for volunteers:
