All the
ministries of Bethany UMC are in keeping with our church’s
Purpose Statement, which
commits us to caring for others through worship, deepening
relationships with Christ and one another, and serving in
Christ’s name.
Our General
Ministries include worship
and Christian Education,
in addition to ministries that foster the spiritual growth of
children and
youth.
Adult ministries are also
complemented by such organizations as
United
Methodist Women and
United
Methodist Men.
Administration
Volunteers help with transportation, administrative duties,
and the stewardship of our church facilities and property

Bethany has
an obligation to reach out, beyond the boundaries of our own
congregation, to share the news of Christ’s sacrifice for our
redemption and to meet the instructions Jesus gave us to “feed
my sheep.”
Through
Membership programs,
the church reaches out to draw those seeking a church family
into our Christian community.
Through
Outreach ministries, Bethany
addresses the critical – physical, as well as spiritual –
needs of people in our community and around the world. |
Special ministries incorporate a
variety of activities to encourage spiritual growth and
fellowship.
At Bethany,
Leisure Ministries include sports, art classes and more.
Music
Ministries use instruments and voices.
The
Communications office
promotes our ministries and programs throughout the church and
the community.
The
Food Committee coordinates the use of the kitchen and
meals for church functions, and
Endowment Board oversees a
special fund used to advance the Christian faith. |
Special ministries such as the
Audio Tape Ministry, the
Care Team, the
Holy Communion Receivers
Ministry, Loving Hands in
Times of Need and the Prayer
Chain Ministry all involve volunteers using their time and
talents to care for members of the Bethany family.
