Overview
Bethany Bash is a ministry is designed to provide both
fellowship and learning opportunities for all of our church
members in the middle of the week. Bethany Bash is held on
Wednesday evenings (from 5 to 7:30 p.m.) in the Fall through
Spring, with short breaks for Christmas and Lent. Bash meals are served prior to a worship service
in Spell Chapel, during
Lent
and
Advent,
Bash is a family event. It
begins with everyone gathering in the Fellowship Hall
for
an evening meal. This is an ideal time for families to eat together in the middle of a hectic week and to
share fellowship with members of their other family – the
Bethany family.
Christian Education programs are offered for every age level,
following the meal.
Classes for Adults
The curriculum changes approximately every six
to eight weeks. During Lent and Advent a mid-week worship
service follows the meal.

Meals/Menus
Bethany Bash menus (and other special Wednesday evening meals)
are listed on the
Bethany Bash Dinner Reservations Form, the church’s
monthly newsletter and weekly worship bulletins.
Children’s meals are simpler than those on the
adult menu and feature such items as hot dogs, chicken fingers
and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Children also have the
option of receiving a smaller portion of the adult menu. Kids’
meals are served in boxes for easier handling.
Reservations
Reservations should be made for
Bash meals.
There are
three ways to make reservations: Complete the
Bethany Bash Dinner Reservations Form, call 873-1230 by 9
a.m. the Monday before each meal, or complete the
reservation form in your Sunday worship bulletin. Reservations may be made a week at a time
or as a standing reservation, which is good for the entire
year unless it is cancelled. If a meal reservation is not
cancelled, the person making the reservation is still
responsible for payment. |
