Sunday School
Central to Christian Education and adult fellowship at Bethany
is Sunday School. There are 14
classes for adults, which meet for study and fellowship at
10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Bethany Basics
Bethany Basics is an orientation course for adults interested
in becoming members of our church. Classes are scheduled on
Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour every other
month. The classes provide prospective members with an
understanding of the breadth of ministries, people and basic
beliefs that make Bethany UMC who we are. The course consists
of four classes meeting on successive Sunday mornings at 10
a.m. in the Bethany Basics classroom, room 124.

Bible Studies and Disciple Bible Study
Groups
Bethany offers a number
of Bible studies in a variety of formats including short
studies and home groups. Disciples
Bible Study Groups each consist of 12 members who meet
once a week, from September through May.
Bethany Bash
Bethany Bash is offered each Wednesday
evening to provide mid-week Christian education and fellowship
for all our church members. At 5:30 p.m., we gather in the
Large Fellowship Hall for an evening meal and fellowship.
Immediately afterward, four classes in a variety of subjects
are offered for adults.
Children's programming each
week includes music, art and recreation, and youth programming
includes study and chat sessions. A nursery is provided for
little ones five years old and younger.
During Lent and Advent a
mid-week worship service follows the Bethany Bash meal. Bash
meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. from
mid-August to the end of April with a short break for
Christmas.
Leadership training
Lay leaders of the church are provided training through area
training schools, district and annual conferences and national
church meetings. Periodic workshops are also held at Bethany.
Usher and Greeter Program
Ushers help make our worship services effective opportunities
for experiencing the divine presence in places consecrated to
God. Greeters seek to extend a welcome to all who come for
worship, both members and nonmembers. For more information on
the Usher and Greeter Program, contact the
Church Administrator.
